CULT WAR AT ABBI , COMMUNITY TAKES CHARGE,INVADE CULTIST DEN
The recent cult was in a friendly and business inclined community of Abbi which left not less than four young men dead is now being handled by the Abbi Community in Ndokwa West L.G.A in a drastic approach.
Delta Now checks showed that the Abbi Community youth and vigilante invade the homes of suspected cultist, confiscated their house hold properties and sent them for safe keep at the police headquarters, Asaba. The Community also declared some suspected cultists wanted by displaying their names .This action by Abbi Community is to rid the community of bad eggs in the name of cultism.
Delta Now also confirmed that the Abbi Community had taken similar action against incessant robbery attacks in the community in the past which reduced significantly robbery related activities, they chased away the suspected young men engaged in stealing and maiming their victims which brought peace in the community.
The dimension the cult activates took led to fatal injury on people who are suspected relatives, friends, brothers and sisters of their enemies. Delta Now gather that stray bullets hit many people hence people were sacred of morning freely in the Community.
With the recent action by Abbi Community, the people can move about freely doing their normal business and attend ceremonies .
Observers to this development welcomed the action of the Community leaders in Abbi pointing out that if and only if Utagba-Ogbe Community leaders had taken such actions against cultist, real peace would have returned to the community.
Recently a 6pm to 6 a.m. curfew was imposed in Kwale during the Christmas celebrations by the Local Government Chairman Chief Obi Nzete over the cult killings which left a groom dead on the eve of his weeding. The young man, a son of a renowned musician was said to have gone to barber’s shop for a clean hair cut in preparation for his marriage ceremony the next day but was wasted while cooking and other preparation for his marriage were going on.
In 2024, the Chiefs in Utgaba-Ogbe, Kwale had displayed, sworn the African traditional juju against cultists and shedding of human blood in Kwale. They invoked the spirits of the various gods against those who take such action as; killing, planning to kill, those who harbor such criminals knowingly.
