Caution criminals in the locality
The publisher of Ndokwa Vanguard Newspaper, Comrade Alaska Ekele has been appointed the new chairman of Igbe Ogume CDC.
The media man said that his emergence as the new CDC helmsman is to restructure and reorganize the community in his entirety to ensure that there is peace and stability in the Igbe Ogume Community and its environs. Comrade Ekele, while stressing the ISUE harped on the issue of indiscipline, smoking and drug taking and other antisocial vices must be eradicated. He also added that all entry points leading to the community will be barricaded from 11:30 to 5:30 am in the morning.
Comrade Ekele also pleaded with the police to assist the community with their professional training and experience in combating crime.
In her response, the DPO in charge of Ogume and Abbi Division ,CSP Florence Echukwu commended Alaska Ekele for reshaping his community and the security architecture. The crime buster further advised the security outfit to always any extra ordinary criminal acts to the police for proper action, not taking law into our hands.
CSP Echukwu also thanked the community elders for cooperating with the police and other areas of the law enforcement agents. She equally promised to always meet with them from time to time for effective results.
