Men of Nigerian Police in Kwale division recently invaded a criminal hideout in Azunze Area of Umusadege Community in Utagba Ogbe Kingdom, Kwale, headquarters of Ndokwa West Local Government Area, and recovered two locally made single barrel “Cut-To-Size” riffles and nine live catrages which were abandoned by the hoodlums.
The Pointer’s security checks from impeacable sources revealed that the police, on a Swift response to a distress call, stormed the criminals’ den, where and when the hoodlums fled the scene on sighting the armed fierce looking security operatives and abandoned some of their arms and
ammunitions.The sources asserted that Kwale Police division under the head of a new DPO CSP Onyesom Eluonye operates in a renewed vigour, and has issued a quit notice to criminal minded persons from the police division.
It added that dangerous and sophisticated security drag nets and tactics have been spread round all the nooks and crannies of the areas covered by the police division. The sources further stated that CSP Eluonye has sounded strict warnings to residents of the area, particularly the youths, parents, landlords/land ladies and hotel proprietors against habouring criminals of all sorts, ittimating them on the grave consequences of the wragths of the laws that may befall violators.
When contacted for his comments, the Kwale new DPO CSP Onyesom Eluonye confirmed the incident and commended the timely information to the police from members of the public. He however requested that such prompt and accurate information on suspicious persons and movements to security operatives be sustained to enhance adequate policing of the area and assured residents of protection of their lives and property.
