DELTA STATE SECURITY TRUST FUND BOARD PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO DELTA CP, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO ENHANCED SECURITY
The State Governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has been commended for the huge Support he has been rendering to Security Agencies, especially the Delta State Police Command .
This commendation was made by the Commissioner of Police, Delta State , CP Yemi John Oyeniyi when the Board and Management of the Delta State Security Trust Fund (DSSTF) led by its Chairman, Hon. Barr. Daniel Mayuku, alongside it’s Executive Secretary Hon. Barr. Samuel Osasa recently paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, at the Delta State Police Command Headquarters.
The visit underscored the strong partnership between the Delta State Security Trust Fund and the Nigeria Police Force in advancing the safety and security of lives and property across Delta State.
During the meeting, CP Oyeniyi expressed appreciation to the Delta State Government and the DSSTF for their unwavering support to the Police Command.
He on behalf of the Inspector General of Police, conveyed gratitude to His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, for his continuous investment in strengthening security and addressing the operational needs of the Police.
The Commissioner commended the Trust Fund for its contributions to security infrastructure, including the provision of modern interrogation room and a state-of-the-art data room.
He also highlighted the need for continued support in areas such as police vehicle maintenance, technological equipment, community policing, and enhanced public engagement through social media.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the DSSTF Board, Hon. Barr. Daniel Mayuku, reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to supporting security agencies through strategic investments in infrastructure, logistics, and operational capacity.
Also responding the Executive Secretary, Hon. Barr. Samuel Osasa noted that the Delta State Government remains committed to implementing more security initiatives aimed at ensuring a safer and more secured state.
He assured the Commissioner that the Board would continue to leverage on available resources to improve security infrastructure and support initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations.
The meeting ended with both the Delta State Police Command and the Delta State Security Trust Fund reaffirming their resolve to deepen collaboration in tackling crime and promoting peace across Delta State.
