The President General of Ndokwa Neku Union (NNU), Comrade Chief Amechi Asugwuni, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, led members of the NNU National Executive Council on a strategic engagement with the Honourable Commissioner for Secondary Education in Delta State, Dr. Kingsley Ashibuogwu, at his office in Asaba.
The President General congratulated the Commissioner on his appointment and commended his previous contributions to the education sector during his tenure as Commissioner for Primary Education. He used the opportunity to highlight key challenges facing schools across Ndokwa, particularly the dilapidated state of many primary and secondary school facilities and the need for adequate deployment of qualified teachers.
In his response, Dr. Ashibuogwu appreciated the visit and assured the delegation that measures are already being implemented by the Ministry to address many of the challenges affecting the educational system. He also encouraged communities to remain actively involved by monitoring the number of teachers posted to their schools and engaging relevant authorities where necessary.
The Commissioner further assured the NNU leadership of his readiness to collaborate with the Union in advancing educational development and improving learning conditions across Ndokwa communities.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both the Ministry and the Ndokwa Neku Union to strengthen the educational foundation of Ndokwa for the benefit of present and future generations.
