Governor Sheriff Oborevwori today received the Governing Council of the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale, led by Pro-Chancellor Dr. Salisu Banye, at Government House, Asaba.
Dr. Banye thanked the Governor for supporting the university’s take-off, citing the state’s provision of land, C of O, and infrastructure at the Technical College, Kwale, that now serves as the temporary site. He also outlined priority needs at the permanent site, including roads, hostels, fencing, logistics, and utilities, while seeking continued assistance.
Governor Oborevwori pledged sustained support, describing the institution as a landmark investment in education and healthcare. He approved immediate electrification of the Kwale site and provision of a 30-seater bus for students, while reaffirming Delta’s leadership in higher education and commitment to the MORE Agenda.
