NDOKWA/ ELECTRICITY BLACKOUT
Members of the United Ndokwa for growth and development association paid a courtesy visit to the traditional ruler of Utagba-Ogbe, Isaac Obi The First (The Oduosa of Utgba-Ogbe Kingdom) to intimate him on the association stance for federal, state And oil companies operating in Ndokwa nation to supply the communities with electricity in order to attract development to the Ndokwa nation.

For almost a decade, the Ndokwa nation has continued to grapple with the issue lack of electricity supply despite having communities who play host to major oil companies including AGIP, Midwestern oil and gas, Sterling Oil, SEEPCO
Shell among other oil exploration companies in the area.
To this is extent, the United Ndokwa for growth and development decided to join the agitation for the oil companies operating in Ndokwa/ Ukwuani Federal constituency to provide them with electricity.
Addressing the traditional ruler of Utagba-Ogbe, Isaac Obi and his council of chiefs, the first, the chairman of the body, Comrade Kunili Shola Friday, represented by the Public Relations Officer, Comrade Moses Onyegu said lack of electricity has hindered growth and development in the area.
The group calling on the state, federal government and oil companies in the area to as a matter of urgency fathom a means to bring electricity to Ndokwa nations.

Responding, the traditional ruler of Utagba-Ogbe Community, Isaac Obi the first described the situation as appalling especially with the abundance of gas amd other mineral resources.
He assured the group of his Support towards ensuring that electricity is brought to Ndokwa nation.
The traditional ruler noted that Sterling Global in Kwale was supplying electricity to the state capital while fifteen States in the country are beneficiaries of IPP at Okapi which was stepped down at Obosi leaving Ndokwa Nation in darkness.

Some residents of Kwale in an interview spoke on how lack of electricity had hampered, small and medium businesses and other development while calling on the federal , State government and oil companies in their domain to come to their rescue by providing them with electricity.

The group called on all Ndokwa sons and daughters as well as other groups in ndokwa nation to join them in the struggle to ensure the electrification of Ndokwa nation.
